Finding Focus

By: Cassi, On: April 7, 2009, Posted In: News

Well, it’s been 2 months since starting this blog, and I haven’t posted a single thing. I think it’s because I wasn’t sure what direction to go in. I knew I wanted to blog, but had so many broad ideas I couldn’t focus on a single post.

A couple of weeks ago I came across the Problogger 31 Days to Build a Better Blog. I knew this is what I needed to concentrate on my blog. The first day’s challenge asked us to come up with an elevator pitch. A short, to the point, description of your blog. For me, I would say my elevator pitch is “Continuing the conversation in Indianapolis.” I’m not trying to teach specific skills or promote myself as an expert on a topic. I just want to be a part of the Indianapolis conversation, helping where I can, and raising questions when needed.

  1. Keep it up! I don’t have many readers but enjoy the writing process myself. I’m no expert, I just write about whatever interests me at the time.
